I used to consider myself a feminist...until I saw how the movement as a whole only focuses on women, not men.  Whenever a men's conference would pop up and talk about the high rates of male suicide, or some other male-specific problem, feminists would protest it and shut it down.  Feminists groups have re-written rape laws that paint all men as the perpetrators, defend disgusting sex offenders like Lena Dunham, and laugh at male victims of rape.  There are other issues that feminists ignore as well, along with being blatant hypocrites at times.  And honestly, first world feminism is embarrassing: "Cat calling is an infringement on my rights!!!!"  No sweetheart, cat calling is merely rude, and hardly prevents you from voting or getting a job.

I wouldn't call myself a "meninist" or egalitarian either.  I gave up on political names long ago and I haven't looked back.  Every political movement has a bias and agenda, no matter how many "nice" people are a part of it or how much they deny it.  Even if feminism were the perfect movement and actually acknowledged and fought for men's rights as well as women's, I would not hold the name because I don't need a name to spread God's love to others and to protect their dignity.
