Sounds cool, so what do I need to do?
Your task is to draw a logo that will appear on the header of the website, as the watermark on future comics and used for any promotional imagery I do like posters or flyers.
Entries can be drawn in anyway chosen, they can either be done digitally or can just be a rough sketch taken with a camera. All I am asking for is the design for the logo, you dont have to go as far as to create the whole thing. Show the layout, potential colours, additional characters etc etc
I'm in!! So when's the deadline?
The deadline will be 2 weeks from now on the 17th of February. After that day, I will not accept anymore entries and will announce a winner soon after.
So how do I enter the competition?
Simply draw out your design, digital or traditional and upload it to your DA (or to Stash if you prefer). Once uploaded, send it to me via note with the subject title "TXD Logo Competition". After the deadline, I will look through them all and choose a winner.
And the grand prize is a 3 month subscription?
Yep, I will be paying out for a sub and be giving it to the winner after I announce who it is.
Are there any rules?
Yep, here they are;
- The logo must incorporate the letters "TXD" somehow in the logo.
- No existing logos can be used, for example you can have Nay's head with some Mickey Mouse ears on top (this includes any offensive imagery also)
- No using any purchased fonts to write the text
- One entry per user, so choose your best one
Any entry breaking these rules will be immediately discared
Any tips you can give for what youre looking for in a logo
- It should be bold and inviting, TXD is a happy comic series so the logo should reflect that.
- It should be simple, dont be overly complex with your design.
- Even if you literally only have a pen and paper to draw with, indicate where colours and additional features will go. The potential is just as good as a finished design
- The full name of the site is txdcomics.com as well as the full name being The Exaggeration Diaries. Its optional to include this text but doing so and making it work will make you stand a better chance at winning.
